Sanguinary
#f01a4d
Darker blood-red rose orange for moody accents
About Sanguinary
A wet brick at dusk is the vibe I get from Sanguinary. It's a deep pink-red with a serious, bloodlike undertone, not the easier cherry brightness you see in food UI. Compared to Charismatic Red, it stays tighter and heavier, with less cool confidence and more controlled heat.
I reach for it when a button or banner needs to feel consequential without turning into a warning siren. Think dashboards and finance apps where the action is important, or campaign landing pages for heritage and editorial work that wants gravity, not chatter. It also reads differently than Che Guevara Red because it doesn't feel restless or ideological, it feels resolved. And unlike Cherry Tomato, it won't soften into "friendly" warmth against white, it holds its tone.
Quirk: it can look almost maroon on off-whites, so I like pairing it with deeper neutrals or crisp near-blacks to keep that clean, weighted redness.
