Refer to the Stars

I keep seeing Refer to the Stars as that slightly dusty, star-dimmed paper look that shows up after you've been staring at bright whites too long. It's light, but it doesn't feel like "extra white." It sits more cool and subdued, with a calm gray undertone that holds steady instead of drifting toward cream.

Compared to Gardenia, it gives up the last bit of warmth and stays more neutral-cool, so it doesn't disappear as easily. Versus Angelic White, it's less soft and in-between, more deliberate, with less of that gentle "background that almost got chosen by accident." And against Magnolia Petal, it avoids the faint petal blush and reads cleaner and quieter in UI mocks.

I use it for dashboards and finance apps, data-heavy SaaS screens, and long tables where the background needs to stay out of the way without looking cold. Pair it with crisp near-blacks and mid grays; if you lean too warm in your typography, it can start to look a little flat.
