About Popcorn
Popcorn is the shade I notice when a UI mock has that soft buttered-yellow crumb look, but you don't want it to tip into bright pastry gold. It's lighter than Banana Bread and more creamy, popcorn-bright than Golden Churro, with a gentler undertone that reads less "crust" and more "puffed inside."
Compared to Macaroni, Popcorn feels a touch less buttered and a bit clearer in temperature. Macaroni stays mellow and comfy, while this one lands a warmer highlight that still holds legibility behind green linework. I use it for food and CPG product tiles, onboarding screens, and section headers in recipe apps where you want warmth without turning the background into amber. It also works well for pricing callouts, small badges, and panel backgrounds in commerce and grocery dashboards where the yellow needs to stay friendly, not dessert-sweet.
Quick caution: if you pair it with deep olives or chartreuse accents, it can get a little too "pop." In those cases, balance with oat creams or light greys so Popcorn stays the main note.
