Hipster Salmon
#fd7c6e
Muted blush-orange salmon, less red than Smoked Salmon
About Hipster Salmon
Hipster Salmon looks like the moment a stoplight orange catches daylight and turns softer. It's lighter and more muted than Forbidden Fruit, so it doesn't read as fruit-punch red, and it avoids Anime Blush's obvious pink push. Compared to Bonfire, it loses that deeper fire authority and lands in a calmer coral-leaning register.
I use it for UI accents that need to feel friendly but still specific: micro CTAs in creator platforms, commerce tiles for "add to cart" states, and alert badges in consumer apps where you want urgency without shouting. It also works well in onboarding walkthroughs and media thumbnails, especially on warmer-than-pure-white surfaces where it stays readable instead of turning rosy or sunk into brick.
Quirk: because it's desaturated, it can look a little dusty next to high-chroma oranges. Pair it with cream, soft slate, or crisp charcoal so it keeps its edge without borrowing someone else's temperature.
