Exploding Star
#fed83a
Sunlit golden chartreuse star for crisp highlights
About Exploding Star
Exploding Star is the quick flash of gold you see on a star badge right before it turns into a warning. It's not the mellow, airy lift of Golden Period, and it doesn't have Banana Pepper's bleached middle-room crispness. This one skews a touch more saturated and a little more radiant, so it reads like high-energy spotlighting on a light UI, even though it stays on the yellow side.
I use it for promo tiles, gaming and events apps, and ecomm moments where you want a highlight that feels urgent but still friendly. It's great for cart and checkout accents, "new" ribbons, and step markers in education flows where you need something to pop without turning honey-thick like Golden Boy. On soft grays it holds its glow; on paper-white it can feel slightly hot, like it's lit from the front.
Quirk: it can overpower thin type at small sizes, so give it a cleaner stroke or pair it with deeper greens/charcoal to keep the hierarchy from getting noisy.
