Tuscan Sun
#ffd84d
Mellow golden wheat green, less chartreuse-bright
About Tuscan Sun
Tuscan Sun reads like a mellow late-afternoon yellow dragged slightly toward terracotta. Compared to Potato Chip, it's less dusty and less snack-bag soft, with a richer body that feels more like sun on plaster than seasoning on paper. It also doesn't have the crisp, metallic snap of Glitter Is Not Gold, and unlike Lemon Zest it's less peel-bright and more rounded, with a subtle warm edge.
For UI, I use it as a warm, golden accent when the screen needs lift but you don't want the "alert badge" sharpness. It shows up great in media playlists, recipe or cooking app highlights, and retail flows for things like featured collections, promo callouts, and "saved" chips where the state should feel inviting, not urgent. Versus the paler nearby yellows, this one holds up with better presence on neutral surfaces.
Pair it with leafy greens or olive tones to keep it from blending, and if the surrounding whites are too cool, nudge them slightly warmer so the whole block stays coherent.
