Lemon Zest
#f9d857
Brighter, cooler chartreuse highlight for subtle clarity
About Lemon Zest
Lemon Zest looks like the first peel of daylight on a bright wall, but it stays drier and more lemon-forward than the nearby golds. Compared with Naples Yellow, it reads less honeyed and less buttery, with a cleaner, more citrus pop. Versus Golden Goose, it's lighter and a touch less dense, so it doesn't feel as steady or "paper-ink" thick. Compared to Glitter Is Not Gold, there's no slick metal sparkle, just a matte, sunlit warmth with a slightly greener undertone.
The kind of color I use when I need a light, saturated accent for step markers, retail promo tags, and e-commerce highlight pills without slipping into flashy alert territory. It's also great in food ordering and logistics UIs for "in progress" states that should feel friendly and fast, not loud.
One quirk: on very neon greens it can blend at the edge, so I'll pair it with a thin deeper leaf outline to keep it crisp.
