About Royal Star
Royal Star looks like a bright school-bus yellow that's been softened just enough to feel friendly, not brassy. Next to Golden Boy, it reads less lemon-clean and more buttery, with higher lightness and a smoother, rounded saturation. Compared with Cheese It Up, it's a touch cooler and less "gentle glow," so it doesn't melt into the warmth. And beside Glitter Is Not Gold, it loses the micro-sparkle edge, coming off more matte-paper and less metallic.
I use it when I need primary highlight energy without that alert snap, especially in dashboards and finance apps where the accent has to pop but stay calm. It's also great in retail and media UIs for "selected" tabs, step progression chips, and promo callouts on pale green or off-white surfaces.
If you pair it with deep greens, keep the background slightly muted; against very stark white it can feel a bit flat and print-like unless you give it a defined border.
