Safety Orange
#ff6600
More saturated, cleaner orange than Halloween candy edge
About Safety Orange
Safety Orange looks like a hard-pressed label on a bright industrial cart, more "signal" than "fire." It's a cleaner, mid-bright orange with a steadier temperature than the red-leaning Piñata and less electrical snap than Shocking Orange. Compared to the darker, embered oranges in the family, this one sits lighter and more controlled, so it reads clear at a glance without feeling heavy.
I use it when the UI needs the one you reach for warmth that still feels operational: checkout and payment moment badges, logistics and warehouse status tiles, and streaming or food delivery progress markers where you want urgency without the alarm vibe. It also works for dashboards and finance apps when the orange has to stay readable over mid-tone panels and not steal focus from product content.
Pair it with cool grays or deeper browns to keep typography calm. On very warm backgrounds, it can start to feel slightly tangy, so give it a cooler neutral neighbor.
