Softer persimmon orange for calm, readable accents
About Precious Persimmon
Precious Persimmon is the orange I see when a ripe persimmon hits the light: softer than the sharper safety-stripe look, but more resolved than the fruit-candy drift. Compared to Melon, it has less playful sheen and more skin-like warmth. Compared to Extreme Carrot, it feels less like a fresh highlight and more like a seasoned orange with rounded edges. Relative to Carrot, it gives up some of that top-end brightness, trading punch for a smoother, quieter presence.
I use it for UI states that need to feel current without screaming. Think fintech product tours, e-commerce order and payment screens, and logistics or inventory dashboards where orange should guide attention, not trigger urgency. It's also great on media tiles for "featured" modules where you want warmth that reads specific, especially over light neutrals. Place it next to deeper charcoal or muted sand and it holds its tone.
One quirk: because it's slightly less bright than Carrot, it can look a bit heavy if your background is too warm. If that happens, lift the surrounding whites and let the persimmon do the talking, not the canvas.
