Temptatious Tangerine
#ff7733
Lighter, softer tangerine than burning orange accents
About Temptatious Tangerine
Temptatious Tangerine looks like the orange you'd see on fresh citrus peel under a warm lamp. It's clearly orange and juicy, but it's not as hot or deep as Burning Orange, and it doesn't hit the sharper, safety-stripe punch of Extreme Carrot or the softer, fruit-skin warmth of Precious Persimmon. Compared to both, it reads a touch more lifted in lightness, with a clean, confident undertone that stays friendly instead of turning weighty.
I use it for dashboards and finance apps where you want a nudge of attention that feels current, not urgent. It's great for fintech onboarding steps, e-commerce "processing" and payment state accents, and logistics or inventory tiles that need a warm label without screaming for status. For media UIs, it works on featured cards over light neutrals when you want warmth with the one you reach for energy, not the "fire" mood.
Quirk: on very warm backgrounds it can start to feel a bit sugary. Cool the surrounding neutrals slightly, and it snaps back into focus.
