Melon
#ff7855
Softer, warmer melon orange for friendly highlights
About Melon
Melon is the orange I notice when coral feels too mineral and Bonfire feels too hot. It lands lighter and more playful, with a smoother, fruit-candy glow that doesn't tip pink or push toward flame. Compared to Coral, it's less reef-truer and more spritz-bright; compared to Bonfire, it doesn't carry that darker fire authority.
I reach for it in onboarding hints, shopping interfaces, and media surfaces where you want warmth that reads friendly but still specific. It works well on badges and secondary CTAs in social platforms and creator tools, and it holds up on cards for "new" or "in stock" without turning into a warning color. On dashboards and finance apps, it gives hierarchy without sounding aggressive, especially next to warm neutrals and light creams.
One quirk: it can look a touch sweet next to very cool grays, so I usually temper it with soft slate, sand, or charcoal to keep it grounded.
