Deepsea Kraken

Deep, desaturated violet-blue for moody emphasis zones
About Deepsea Kraken
Deepsea Kraken looks like a midnight spill on a screen, but with a clear purple tilt under the blue. It's darker and more light-absorbing than Gentian Blue, so it reads less like a crisp selection edge and more like a heavy, calm field. Compared to International Klein Blue, it gives up a bit of that ink-punch purity and feels less "stamped on" and more weighty.
I use it when the UI needs depth without turning into a washed-out navy: dashboards and finance apps that already have strong blues, telecom management panels where you want key states to feel grounded, and streaming media detail pages where the primary action should feel present but not loud. It also works well for media timeline accents in dark mode because it stays saturated without becoming the brighter highlight you'd expect from a cooler purple. Keep it away from near-identical purples, and if you pair it with a lighter blue, make sure that second shade is cleaner so the purple undertone stays readable instead of blending into a single dark tone.
