Monstrous Green

This green looks like it got dragged out of a dark swamp and still refused to dull down. Monstrous Green is heavier than the candy-bright stuff, but it's also not as clean and grounded as a daylight vegetation green. Compared to Candy Green, it dials back the sweet, yellow-leaning pop. Compared to Demeter Green, it's darker and more intense, less "steady under daylight." And next to Crude Banana, it stays more saturated and less muted, so it reads like a decision, not a grown-by-nature background.

I use it for UI states that need bite without turning into a warning siren: status chips in field service apps, vegetation or risk overlays in GIS maps, health metrics on dark dashboards, and emphasis accents in gaming HUDs where "notice this" matters. It's deep, saturated, and a little ominous, the one you reach for when you want green to feel present and forceful, not friendly or neutral. Pair it with near-black panels and cool grays so it doesn't blend into the UI.

If you drop it onto light surfaces, it can feel like it's trying too hard. Give it space or tone it down with warmer neutrals.
