Starry Night

Look at this blue on a dark monitor, after the screen dims. Starry Night reads like a deep night-sky tone that's slightly lifted, not ink-flat, with a gentle cool undertone that feels more atmospheric than structured.

Compared to Mississippi River, it's less slate-muted and carries more depth through the center. Compared to Hydra, it's not as tight and commanding, more weightless in the highlights instead of feeling fully saturated all the way through. And next to Hyper Blue's cleaner, brighter immediacy, Starry Night stays calmer, less alert, with its contrast coming from mood rather than punch. I use it for dashboards and finance apps when the background or header band needs to feel steady without turning "statement blue." It also shows up well in streaming and sports media skins, where you want overlays, tags, and chart legends to float without fighting the page.

Pair it with soft cool grays and near-white text, but avoid stacking too many other mid-blues. It can start to feel uniform unless you reserve your brightest accents for states and CTAs.
