Wavy Navy
#006597
Midnight-leaning blue with teal depth for headers
About Wavy Navy
I keep seeing Wavy Navy in UI mockups that feel "in motion" without being loud. It's a deep blue that doesn't fall flat like some darker tones, but it also avoids the teal lean you get in brighter mids. Compared to Hydra's tighter, more authoritative stillness and Starry Night's softer, atmospheric lift, Wavy Navy lands smoother and more continuous across the surface.
It's my primary action blue when you want hierarchy that reads crisp over light backgrounds but doesn't look like a generic hyperlink. I use it for dashboards and finance apps where chart legends, row highlights, and selected states need to stay calm under lots of information. In product admin panels and SaaS settings for logistics or insurance, it works harder than it looks because it stays controlled next to secondary grays and doesn't demand attention the way Hyper Blue can.
One quirk: on very low-contrast UI shells, it can feel slightly cooler than you expect, so I usually pair it with near-white text and a warmer neutral divider to keep the mood balanced.
