Wing Commander

Deep cobalt-blue with a calmer, rooted air
About Wing Commander
This shade looks like the moment a blue status bar finishes loading and suddenly feels "in control." Wing Commander is a deeper, richer blue than the brighter French Blue and Cloisonné, but it doesn't go the way Hyper Blue does into a lighter, more immediate tone. It reads more settled and weighty on the page, with a clean undertone that stays distinctly blue instead of drifting teal.
I use it when the UI needs a primary signal that still feels confident next to lots of whites and grays, especially in dashboards and finance apps where you don't want links or CTAs to look chirpy. It also shows up well in healthcare and SaaS tables for emphasis states, chart series, and key form actions because it holds contrast without turning navy-gray. Compared with Cloisonné, it's a touch less cool-feeling and more grounded.
Quick note: on very light tints it can feel a bit heavy, so I usually balance it with medium neutrals and a slightly brighter supporting blue for secondary accents.
