One Year of Rain

Rain-slicked mid blue for calm secondary panels
About One Year of Rain
If you've ever stared at a rain-slick window at dusk, that in-between blue is exactly what comes to mind. One Year of Rain is darker and cooler than the workaday blues around it, but it doesn't go muddy. It holds onto a steady, wet quiet instead of turning greenish like Capital Blue or fading out like Bluedgeons.
I use it when I want a primary that feels trusted without feeling cold, especially in banking interfaces, healthcare apps, and data dashboards. It reads solid for persistent navigation, emphasized tabs, and primary charts, and it stays legible over lighter panels better than the deeper, moodier options. Next to those cleaner sky-leaning blues, this one keeps more shadow and less air, so the UI feels calmer and more anchored at a glance.
The only thing to watch: on very white-heavy layouts it can look slightly more subdued, so I like pairing it with crisper highlights or off-whites for contrast that doesn't scream.
