Royal Night
#2b3191
Brighter royal violet for primary highlights
About Royal Night
Royal Night sits like a deep stage light on a dark header. It's not the bruised, pressed-in feel of Depths of Night, and it doesn't read as the clean, slightly violet "control" of Perfect Dark. What I notice most is the extra clarity in the purple, plus a cooler, evening-ink undertone that holds its edges instead of blending.
On UI, it shows up as dark-mode navigation accents that feel darker and more composed than Liquid Denim, without the glossy pressurized character. It's my pick for telecom settings screens, streaming app metadata highlights, and media control overlays where you want the purple to be the focus but not soft. I also use it for keyline borders and selected states in admin tools that deal with subscriptions and finance workflows, because it stays legible in motion.
Pair it with near-blacks and cool grays, and keep warmer surfaces restrained. Next to lavender or blue-leaning purples, it reads more anchored and less friendly.
