Perfect Dark

Deep violet navy for restrained focus blocks
About Perfect Dark
Perfect Dark is the purple I see when a brand tosses its accent over a dark hero banner and it still reads controlled, not bruised and not washed out. Compared to Depths of Night, it's deeper but cleaner, with less "pressed-in" gloom. Versus Bluebell, it doesn't carry that lifted, approachable lift. Versus Liquid Denim, it feels less glossy and blended, more weighty and composed.
It's my go-to for dark-mode navigation accents and data-heavy UI where you want the highlight to feel intentional. Think telecom settings screens, media streaming metadata highlights, and admin dashboards for finance and subscriptions. The undertone is cool and slightly violet, which keeps it from drifting toward blue too hard, and the saturation stays firm so selection states and focus rings don't look soft.
Pair it with near-blacks and cool grays, and keep any warmer background surfaces minimal. If you drop it next to Cream or sand tones, it starts to look heavier than you expect.
