Hollow Knight
#330055
Lower-saturation violet dusk for UI shadows and links
About Hollow Knight
Hollow Knight reads like a deep purple shade that refuses to turn into navy. Under dim UI lighting it looks slightly inkier and more shadowy than the "actually looks purple" Cotinga Purple, and it never gets the heavier, soaked feel that Infinite Inkwell has.
Compared to Fabric of Space, it's a touch darker and less saturated, so it feels more like the backplate of your interface than an assertive accent. I reach for it in dark-mode dashboards and enterprise admin consoles where you need secondary chrome that stays readable without feeling like it's pushing forward: section dividers, form focus borders, muted status pills, and map or settings sidebars in healthcare portals and B2B SaaS. It's also a strong choice for data-dense tables where you want hierarchy to land cleanly.
Pair it with cool grays and near-black backgrounds. If you place it next to more saturated violets, it can look a little subdued, so keep your emphasis colors separate and intentional.
