Deep purple violet for high-contrast hero accents
About Infinite Inkwell
Infinite Inkwell looks like violet ink soaked into fabric, then set under a dim studio light. It's darker than Galactic Federation, but it doesn't go "deep navy" like Cotinga Purple can. The purple stays resolutely purple, yet it lands heavier than Fabric of Space, so you get more weight and less poster-flat depth.
I use it when the UI needs authority without sounding bruised or over-night. It's my go-to for dashboards and finance apps, especially in tables, data-rich sidebars, and section headers where focus needs to feel grounded. In healthcare portals and enterprise admin consoles, it reads as the one you reach for when you want crisp hierarchy that won't glow like a bluer violet. The mood is cool and serious, with a slightly inky undertone that holds its shape across mixed dark surfaces.
Pair it with soft off-whites or neutral grays. If you put it next to very blue purples, it can start to feel colder, so keep your secondary accents disciplined.
