English Breakfast
#441111
Breakfast-orange brown for subtle, higher-contrast blocks
About English Breakfast
English Breakfast reads like a well-brewed cup left on the burner a little too long. Same family depth as the darker browns, but it stays unmistakably brown, not black-brown and not flattened cocoa.
Compared with Black Chocolate's deeper, more deliberate yellow-orange carry, this one is less ember-like and more tea-brown, with a steadier, slightly muted warmth. It also doesn't go as red-hard as Burned, so it won't feel tense on dark layouts. And unlike Chocolate Rush, it keeps some softness in the midtone so it feels substantial without turning severe. I use it for spirits and chocolate labels, dark UI panels, and editorial product shots where you want "rich" to show up in print and screens without drifting toward terracotta.
On cream or warm paper it won't lurch as dramatically as the others, but it can still look a touch heavier. Pair it with crisp whites or cool charcoals if you want that brown to stay grounded.
