Galactic Purple

Picture a deep purple light bouncing off a polished desk lamp: saturated enough to feel rich, but not as blue-leaning as the purples that flirt with periwinkle. Galactic Purple sits darker and denser than Bluebell and Blueberry, yet it doesn't go flat or heavy. Its undertone is clearly purple first, with a cooler edge that reads more like night lighting than everyday ink.

I reach for it in dashboards and finance apps where you need an accent that feels confident without pulling attention away from data. It also works well for product UI states like selected tabs, active chips, and link treatments in media and broadcast streaming interfaces, especially when you want the purple to look intentional on both light and dark UI. Compared with Galaxy Express, it's less blue-slanted and more anchored, so it doesn't mute into gray as easily.

Pair it with clean, slightly warm off-whites or cool grays. If you drop it on very yellow backgrounds, it can start to look less "space" and more bruise-like, so test your surface first.
