About Galactic Civilization

Galactic Civilization looks like a deep, space-grade purple that's been gently pulled toward blue without turning into periwinkle. It's higher in lightness than , so it doesn't feel as dry or heavy, but it's more saturated and denser than , which tends to feel a little more approachable on first glance.

I like it when the UI needs a purple that reads purposeful on both light and dark but still has momentum. Think dashboards and finance apps for active states, selection outlines, and link emphasis where you want the accent to feel in command, not dusty. It also works well in broadcast streaming control bars and media player chrome when you want key interactions to stand out without drifting blue-gray like can.

Pair it with crisp neutrals or cool off-whites; if you put it on very yellow surfaces, it starts to look slightly bruised instead of "galactic."
