Occult
#4b1e87
Murkier purple with magenta undertone, low-glow depth
About Occult
Occult reads like a purple pulled into a shadowed valve room. It has that deep, ink-heavy weight, but the undertone stays a touch more magenta than the cooler blues nearby, so it feels less like static and more like a deliberate, low-lit highlight. Compared to Intergalactic Settlement's drier, controlled profile and Galactic Civilization's blue-leaning density, Occult holds its ground in the middle, darker and more mysterious without turning gray.
I reach for it in dashboards and finance apps when I need an accent that looks decisive on both light and dark. Think selected-row fills, focus borders, and link emphasis in trading UIs, ops consoles, and admin panels where purple can't look dusty or "hover-y." It also works well in streaming and broadcast media control bars for key-state chrome, especially when Indigo Static would feel too sharp and electric.
Pair Occult with crisp cool off-whites or neutral grays so the magenta side doesn't read bruised. If you stack it next to a more blue-forward purple, it'll look richer and slower, so keep the contrast intentional.
