Midnight indigo with violet undertone for UI depth
About Indigo
On my screen, Indigo reads like a purple that got tightened and pushed slightly toward blue, not made bluer enough to feel periwinkle. It lands as a deep, inkier note with a clean edge, so it looks sharper than Galactic Civilization's space-cooled density and less static-scratchy than Indigo Static. Compared to Intergalactic Settlement, it feels a touch more saturated and more "settled" than "drier," with a cooler undertone that holds its composure.
I reach for it in dashboards and finance apps when you need an accent for states that must look decisive across light and dark. It works especially well for selection rings, active link text, and timeline highlights in broadcast and media player control chrome, where you want interaction to feel controlled, not magenta-warm and not bluish-gray drifting. Use it for tabs, focus outlines, and key toggles in streaming interfaces where legibility is about contrast discipline.
Quirk: because it's cool and fairly saturated, it can start to look a bit heavy on very warm, yellowed surfaces. I like it paired with cool grays or neutral whites so the undertone stays crisp.
