About Velvet Vortex

Velvet Vortex is the purple I notice when the UI looks crisp but not cold. On my screens it reads as a deep violet with a softer, slightly muted edge than Indigo Static, yet it feels more luxuriant and less navy than Fading Horizon. Compared to Indigo, it doesn't lean quite as blue tight, so the tone stays more violet-forward while still landing firmly dark.

I use it in dashboards and finance apps when you need selection states and active highlights that feel confident without looking icy. It's great for badges, section headers, and timeline emphasis in media player control chrome, where you want interaction to stay readable but not shove everything toward the magenta or blue-gray drift. the one you reach for when your purple needs a richer undertone than the sharper Indigo family.

Quick quirk: because it's richer violet than those cooler blues, it can look a touch heavier next to very blue purples. Pair it with neutral grays or warmer whites if you want the mood to stay grounded.
