About Heartless

Heartless reads like a deep blackberry tea stain with a pink bias, but it stays cleaner than the bruisy tones nearby. It's noticeably darker than Grape Fizz, and less lifted than Galactic Grapevine, so it doesn't feel "soda-bright." Compared to Eminence, it carries more blue-leaning coolness, so the undertone shows up more as restrained wine-plum than controlled warm burgundy.

I use Heartless as the selected-state or key highlight color when the UI needs authority without going into purple-ink territory. It's great for dashboards and finance apps where you want a confident accent for chips, badges, and active tabs, and it holds up well on media-style player overlays and editorial callouts. Where Eminence can feel a bit heavier and more pink-grounded, Heartless comes off more shadowy and focused.

Pair it with soft warm neutrals or deep espresso so the cool undertone doesn't start reading dusty against gray. If you put it next to very magenta-heavy tones, give it a little breathing room or it tightens up.
