Wine Tour
#653b66
Muted wine plum for primary UI contrast, cooler than Royal Plum
About Wine Tour
Wine Tour reads like a muted, grape-wine tint that's pulled back from both the darker bruise of deep plums and the more evenly velvety mauves. Compared to Plum and Majesty, it's more wine-on-wine: slightly more lightness and a smoother, less shadowy falloff. And versus Opulent Purple, it doesn't stay as intentionally lifted, so the surface feels calmer and less "set-to-pop." It's a Pink family shade with a cooler-leaning undertone that shows up as a soft editorial mood rather than berry-cool bite.
I use Wine Tour when I need selection states that feel grown-up without turning into the heavier, inkier end. It's great for dashboards and finance apps where active filters, status chips, and row highlights need clarity but not that grape-purple punch. You'll also see it work well in health and commerce product UI for variant swatches, callout labels, and small section headers, especially when the rest of the interface sits in near-blacks or cocoa neutrals.
Pair it with warmer grays or creamy neutrals, though. If you float it next to magenta-heavy accents, it can start to look slightly flat and desaturated instead of wine-rich.
