Plum Intended
#644348
Muted plum-red with balanced, not-too-cool clarity
About Plum Intended
Plum Intended sits between brick-red and true plum. On a light mock it doesn't blush forward like a rosy red, and it doesn't go earthy like Köfte Brown. The tricky part is its undertone: it's red-forward plum, with a cooler lean than Liaison, but not the purple wash of Passionate Plum. It reads more velvety than smoky, so it feels decided, not nocturnal.
I use it for dashboards and finance apps where you want destructive or high-priority UI that still looks controlled in daylight: inline alert chips, account hold labels, contract error banners, and secondary buttons in fintech and payroll flows. It also works well in retail admin tables when you need the one you reach for for warnings that shouldn't scream. Compared with Nocturne Red, it stays lighter and cleaner, so the message doesn't sink into near-black backgrounds.
Pair it with warm grays, oat creams, or muted plums. If you go too near rose or stark white, the color starts to drift and the plum edge gets louder than the red intent.
