Red Rumour

On a light mock, Red Rumour reads like a red that's been filtered through old velvet. It's not the plum-forward, cooler wash of Plum Intended, and it doesn't turn cocoa-dry like Köfte Brown. What you notice first is the midtone balance: it sits in a darker, tea-stained range, with a slightly dusty, red-brown undertone that feels more restrained than Nocturne Red's night-mode depth.

I use it when the UI needs a firm destructive cue without going either too earthy or too purple. It shows up well in dashboards and finance apps for account hold badges, contract alert chips, and validation banners where you want the message to land immediately in daylight. Think banking web tables, retail ops admin screens, and e-commerce back-office error states, the the one you reach for when you want heat with control.

Pair it with oat-cream backgrounds or warm grays. If you push it too close to rose, it starts to blush; keep the neighbors slightly muted so the undertone stays steady.
