Single-origin terracotta-brown orange for grounded accents
About Single Origin
Single Origin looks like a sunlit walnut shell held up to shade. It's a medium brown with a distinctly orange bias, but it doesn't go full leather or rust like Ebi Brown, and it stays cleaner and less weathered than Crown of Thorns. Compared with Cuba Libre, the red edge is quieter. The result is warm, burnt orange-brown that feels cooked-through rather than poured thick.
I use it as the one you reach for when you want brown that reads friendly on first glance, yet still feels grounded in layout. It works well for packaging labels in food and craft, storefront UI panels, and mid-tone highlights in editorial spreads where you need warmth without tipping into brick-red. In interface work, it's great for buttons, borders, and small blocks that need to show up without shouting.
Quirk: if you place it next to very saturated oranges, it can start to flatten into a more caramel note, so give it a little breathing room with creams or neutral grays.
