Kimono
#6d86b6
Softer, warmer periwinkle purple for calmer headings
About Kimono
Kimono is the purple I notice on a folded kimono sleeve under daylight, where the color looks settled, not misty. It's medium-light with a distinctly violet tilt, and the saturation feels tighter than Marina, so it doesn't spread out into that cool glass shine.
Compared with English Manor, it's a touch more lifted and less "paneled-wall" grounded. Compared with Galactic Gossamer, it keeps more pigment depth and less airiness, so callouts don't feel washed next to gray UI. I tend to use it for dashboards and finance apps when I want selected states, section headers, and focus rings to read clearly beside slate text, plus in insurance or HR portals where the interface can't drift into blue-only territory. It also works well for course admin screens and media publishing moderation panels where you want a confident purple without the airy softness.
If you pair it with warm creams, it can look slightly less violet and more muted, so I usually balance it with cooler neutrals or crisp off-whites to keep the intent sharp.
