Orbital

Cool orbital periwinkle for crisp, airy UI headers
About Orbital
Orbital is the kind of purple I notice on a UI chip sitting under slightly overcast light, where the color feels clean and crisp instead of misty. It lands a touch lighter than English Manor, but it doesn't carry that same paneled-wall steadiness. Compared with Kimono, it's less violet-leaning and more balanced, and you don't get that tight, settled saturation that reads like it's been folded and pressed.
Against Marina, Orbital keeps more pigment depth and avoids that cool-glass calm that can flatten into blue on some screens. It works for dashboards and finance apps where selected states, section headers, and focus rings need to hold their purple identity next to slate text. I also reach for it in HR and insurance portals, plus creator analytics and moderation panels, because it stays readable without drifting into gray UI. Pair it with cooler off-whites or faintly bluish grays for the best "confidence without airiness" feel.
If you throw it next to very warm creams, it can lose its edge fast and start looking muted instead of intentional.
