Galactic Gossamer
#7f8cb8
Softer, cooler periwinkle-lavender for airy UI sections
About Galactic Gossamer
I keep noticing Galactic Gossamer as a purple that reads clean and airy, like it got softened by mist but didn't drift into blue. Compared with Easter Egg, it's a touch deeper and more deliberate, less pastel float. Compared with Aster, it feels more luminous and less dusted. And unlike Azureno, it holds its purple identity with a cooler, calmer undertone instead of edging toward a techy blue.
This is the one you reach for when you want clarity on screens without that lilac-mauve fallback. I use it for dashboards and finance apps where highlights need to stay legible next to grays, but still feel friendly. It also shows up well in onboarding callouts, data widgets, and promo banners in SaaS and consumer fintech, plus UI accents in product screenshots and explainer frames.
Quick quirk: push it next to warm creams and it can turn a little more muted than you planned, so I usually pair it with cool whites or neutral gray steps.
