Red Reign reads like a deep, clean blood red with an orange tilt, not a muddy wine and not a lacquered "left in the shade" red. Compared with Maroon, it has more forward heat and less wine drift toward near-black, so it doesn't feel inward or thick. Against Salami, it's less dusty and less cured-meat flat, with a smoother, more immediate saturation.

This is the one you reach for when you need an alert tone that still feels "manufactured" and readable, especially in dashboards and finance apps where urgency has to stay professional. I also like it in regulated product UI for medical devices and lab workflows, plus compliance-heavy packaging for hot sauces and spice rubs that should look seasoned, not romantic. In editorial layouts, it behaves more like a crisp rule line than a heavy ink stamp.
