Widowmaker
#99aaff
Deeper lavender-blue for moody, high-contrast UI accents
About Widowmaker
Widowmaker reads like a cooler, inkier periwinkle than the soft sky-lavender crowd, but it's not as pale or airy as the highlight tones. Compared to Kitten's Eye, it keeps more violet depth instead of floating off into near-pastel. Compared with Cold Lips, it's less sharp and less "clinical," so it doesn't feel as cutting even though it stays clearly cool.
I use this shade as a mid-tone anchor for dashboards and finance apps where you want purple presence without slipping into the greyed, weighty feel of deeper mates. It's especially handy for status chips, active tab text, and campaign tags in health, fintech, and e-commerce, because the undertone stays purple-first while still reading darker and more grounded than Wondrous Wisteria. the one you reach for when the UI needs emphasis that won't look like a bright accent.
Pair it with clean neutrals and slightly desaturated blues if you want it to feel controlled; next to warm creams it can look more stern than you expect.
