About Statuary
Statuary looks like a concrete surface that's been left in shade, not gray paper or fog. It's cool-neutral without the blue haze, and compared to Silent Film it has a bit more body and contrast, so it doesn't feel as airy. Next to Crown of Ash, it reads slightly softer and less strict, with a calmer presence that still stays firmly gray, not greenish like Ether.
I use it when the UI needs structure but not sterility. It's a great fit for dashboards and finance apps where you want quiet panels that don't steal attention from charts and table content. Also solid in admin screens, settings pages, and data-heavy SaaS layouts as form backgrounds and card gutters, especially when the typography is mid-tone and you want the whole page to feel grounded.
Pair it with charcoal or deep slate text. If you lean on bright whites, Statuary can start to look a touch chalky rather than clean.
