Gramps Shoehorn
#a3896c
Softer, earthier khaki-yellow for balanced UI warmth
About Gramps Shoehorn
Gramps Shoehorn feels like a slightly worn leather belt you keep finding in the back of a drawer. It's earthy and tan-forward, but not the light, dusty tan of Iced Coffee, and not the restrained, cooler brown of Bakery Brown. Compared to Cocoloco, it holds a touch more warmth, yet stays muted enough that it doesn't act like a caramel highlight.
I like it for hospitality and food retail UI where you want "comfort" without pushing into orange-brown. Think booking steps, menu cards, receipt panels, and editorial sidebars next to warm beverage photography. It's the shade I reach for when a surface needs to feel grounded like Bakery Brown, but you still want it to read friendlier, closer to Caramel Gold's neighborhood.
Quirk: on very pale creams it can look a little heavy next to brighter yellows, so I'll pair it with a lighter neutral or a cooler text color to keep the hierarchy clean.
