Hot Lava
#aa0033
Orange-leaning hot red for priority callouts
About Hot Lava
Hot Lava looks like a molten red-orange that keeps its heat without going dark and brooding. Next to Ecstatic Red it reads more energized and slightly more orange, not cleaner and more "signal-ready." Against Chilli Pepper, it stays brighter and less angry, and you don't feel that weighty, warning-light depth. Compared with Chorizo, it's less heat-dense and more lively, with a higher, punchier lightness instead of settling into a deeper red flare.
I use it for dashboards and finance apps when a primary action needs to stand out fast but still feel driven, not confrontational. It's great for feature callouts, media controls, and storefront promos where you want the one you reach for to feel like momentum. On light UI it holds attention without turning into paprika, and on dark surfaces it stays hot without tipping into maroon.
If you pair it with cream or warm grays, keep the surrounding accents tighter and a bit cooler so the orange undertone doesn't drift too far toward "appetite".
