Ecstatic Red
#aa1122
Slightly lifted, saturated ember red for hot highlights
About Ecstatic Red
I keep noticing how Ecstatic Red reads as red first, but it never turns angry. Next to Büchel Cherry it feels more resolved, less like a warm accent and more like a confident signal. Compared with Chorizo, it holds onto cleaner red character without sliding as far into heat-dense depth.
It's the shade I grab for product interfaces and feature moments where you want punch without that "this is escalating" sensation. Think e-commerce spotlight buttons, editorials' section headers, app badges, and media players' primary actions. It stays legible over both light and dark layouts, and unlike Blood Rush, it doesn't come in with that fully charged, confrontational attitude.
Design quirk: because the undertone is noticeably warm, it can drift toward orange-tinged emphasis on cream backgrounds. If you see that, pull it back with a cooler gray or a tighter neutral for the surrounding UI.
