Macaroon
#b38b71
Softer, milkier yellow-tan for airy cards
About Macaroon
Macaroon looks like a macaron shell that cooled a little too fast: light, creamy, and lightly dusted, not the deeper toastiness you get from darker tans. It sits in the Yellow family but feels more light and powdery than golden, with a softer, beige-leaning warmth. Compared to Cocoloco, it gives less muted chew and more airy sweetness; against Bakery Brown, it stays far brighter and avoids that cooler, structured depth.
I use it when a surface needs to feel food-and-family friendly without turning caramel-bright. It's great for hospitality platforms, menu and promo cards, editorial section headers, and recipe or bakery landing pages where you want a warm backdrop that stays readable on photography. It also works well behind UI elements that should feel touchable, like button fills and quiet form panels.
One caution: Macaroon can get a bit chalky next to very saturated oranges or deep umbers. Pair it with slightly cooler creams or clean charcoal text so it stays crisp, not flat.
