About Misty Mountains

I keep Misty Mountains around when I need a purple that still feels airy, but not blue-forward. Next to it reads a touch more formed and a bit richer, and compared with Fly a Kite it's less playful and more like a soft mist clinging to the edges.

It's my go-to for light UI surfaces in health and wellness products, especially where you want calm instruction panels, quiet form backgrounds, and modal backplates that don't tip into periwinkle. In skincare and dermatology layouts, it gives you that clean, cool-toned polish without the slightly frosted-glass depth of . I also like it behind product feature imagery because it stays readable while keeping a gentle purple undertone. Pair it with soft white typography blocks and cool creams so it stays warmer than pure white and doesn't drift toward blue-gray.
