Memory Lane

Muted gray with gentle warmth for calmer UI
About Memory Lane
I keep noticing Memory Lane in the margins of interfaces, where everything else looks intentional but the "gray" should be quiet. It's a medium-light cool gray with a soft, slightly dusty look, so it doesn't feel like you dragged it straight from white. Compared to Gliding Feather, it has more color in it and a clearer blue cast. Compared to Ephemeral Blue, it's less icy and more muted, less committed to being blue-first.
This is the shade I use for secondary UI surfaces in dashboards and finance apps, especially in healthcare and fintech web layouts where you want separation without the surface shouting. Think card backgrounds, table strips, form field states, and disabled containers. It reads more "set" than Gliding Feather, but it won't wander as cold as Ephemeral Blue.
One quirk: if you pair it with stark whites, it can look a touch smoky. I'd rather anchor it with darker text and slate-toned borders, or it'll feel flatter than it should.
