Steam Bath

You notice Steam Bath on a tablet screen right away, like a fogged glass panel after the lights warm up. It's a softer, slightly more lived-in gray than the cooler, flatter Herring Silver, but it doesn't drift toward the warmth-neutral "diplomacy" of Après-Ski. Compared with Ephemeral Blue, it keeps the cool temperature muted so the surface feels calmer, not blue.

Use it for Steam Bath-leaning secondary surfaces where you want clean neutrality with a gentle haze: healthcare and fintech dashboards, SaaS card shells, form fields in their default state, and the gray gutters around charts and tables. It reads light without going chalky, with low saturation that doesn't fight icons or data labels. It's the one you reach for when you need a background to feel soft around the edges but still hold structure.

Quirk: next to true whites it looks more "pastel-mist" than neutral, so give it darker type or pair it with mid grays to avoid a washed feel.
