Whisper of Smoke

Paler cool smoke-gray for airy, calm UI layers
About Whisper of Smoke
I keep noticing Whisper of Smoke when I'm trying to soften a layout without drifting all the way toward white. It's a light gray with a slight bluish lift, but it doesn't feel airy like Up in the Air, and it doesn't go cool and definite the way Skinny Dippin' does.
Compared to Foil, it has a more noticeable undertone and a touch less "settled" neutrality. Whisper of Smoke lands as warmer than the ice-cold near-whites but still cool enough to stay crisp next to deeper grays. I like using it for dashboards and healthcare apps when I want gentle separation for card backgrounds, table gutters, and form sections, especially in insurance admin screens and SaaS analytics where you need calm structure.
Quirk: it can read a bit misty beside very clean whites, so I'll pair it with slightly darker borders or charcoal text to keep hierarchy obvious.
