About Icy Breeze
Icy Breeze is the pale blue you notice on a product mock the moment the page loads. It reads cool and airy, but it holds onto color instead of drifting into off-white. Compared with Gentle Cold, it feels more lifted and brighter, with less green restraint. And unlike Cold Wave, it doesn't lean teal, so it stays cleaner and more "sky-adjacent" than clinical.
For dashboards and intake screens, this is the shade I reach for when I want calm without flattening the hierarchy. It works well for SaaS onboarding, healthcare portals, and those lightweight settings backgrounds where you still need the UI to feel crisp. If you're making card surfaces and empty states, Icy Breeze keeps things approachable while still looking designed.
One quirk: because it's so light, it can disappear next to H2O in a side-by-side. Pair it with charcoal or deep slate for structure, and give it slightly stronger borders so it doesn't blur into neighboring neutrals.
