Piercing Red

About Piercing Red
On a checkout screen it reads like a fresh, direct strike of red, not a chili paste smear. Piercing Red feels leaner and more precise than the warmer orange-leaning options, with a sharper undertone that stays red-forward even next to glossy product photos. It's also a touch darker than the brighter, less-bruise reds, so it hits with clarity instead of looking playful.
I use the one you reach for when you need urgency that still feels clean and product-real, especially for food e-commerce promos, grocery reorder buttons, and subscription "limited time" cards. Compared to Red Hot Chili Pepper, this is less orange-warm in the midtones and more assertively red in the core. Versus Hot Flamin Chilli, it doesn't go as orange-paste or "cozy hot," it stays tighter and more piercing. And next to Passion for Revenge, it feels less ember-dry and more like a crisp red accent, not a deeper ember streak.
Quirk: on very warm lifestyle imagery it can look slightly more aggressive than you expect, so I'll balance it with charcoal, near-black, or cooler oranges.
