Spicy Sweetcorn
#f6ac00
Richer amber-gold warmth, less buttery than neighbors
About Spicy Sweetcorn
Spicy Sweetcorn looks like corn on the cob with a little chili heat behind it. It's not the clean sunshine of Cheesy Cheetah, and it doesn't carry the deeper mustard warmth of Groovy Giraffe. This one is lighter than Solar Power too, but it stays more saturated and "green-tinted" in the undertone, so it reads like a warm accent with an edge, not a mellow glow.
I use dashboards and commerce UIs where you need a friendly alert state that still feels pointed. Think grocery and CPG packaging callouts, product tile tags for "spicy" or "new," and category chips in retail and food delivery apps. Compared side-by-side with Solar Power, it feels less like lens flare light and more like an ingredient-level highlight. It's the one you reach for when you want attention without sliding into amber-y heaviness.
Quick note: on very pale greens it can blend into the background. A crisp off-white or cool gray keeps the heat visible, and pairing it with stronger, darker greens prevents it from looking a touch sugary.
